DONATE

Since its first screening in cooperation with Landmark Theatres in Seattle, Washington to its week-long run in New York City to the Black Earth Film Festival, As the Call, So the Echo has made steady progress towards its goal of reaching a wider audience.

Most recently, the film caught the attention of The Eastman Fund, which has generously provided me a matching grant up to $5,000. This means that the Fund will match dollar for dollar any funds that I raise in the next six months. This last bit of money helps to fund a vitally important component of the filmmaking process. In this final stage, the funds will help pay for press materials, theatre rentals, DVD replication, festival submission fees, and marketing initiatives needed to entice distribution venues, such as television, cable, and the educational market.

An advisory board of Peabody Award-winning documentary filmmakers Judith Helfand, Peter Miller, Louis Alvarez, and Andy Kolker have also come together to form a system of support for the project. Their strong belief in the film's success has pushed the project into the hands of HBO documentaries and at P.O.V. at PBS. Both organizations are now reviewing the film for potential broadcast.

As I reach this final stage in the filmmaking process, I hope you will donate in any way you can to bring the film to its highest level of success. Arts Engine, Inc. is a non-profit organization that will receive all proceeds from the film's success, thus allowing your donations to be entirely tax-deductible. These exciting developments have helped spread the message of hope that the film dramatically portrays in the intense setting of a third world hospital.

We hope that you will join us in spreading that message.

If you would like to help me toward my goal of raising $5,000,
please make checks payable to Arts Engine, Inc.
Be sure to write Keir Moreano in the memo line of your check.
